man.. so you kno that ASF thing I was talking about in my last post?

i guess it's more than military police.. i learn hand to hand combat and building raids.. then i continue to train and stand guard for 7-8 months.. thennnnnnnnnnn.. this is the fucked up part... i guess i'm going to Iraq to fight for one year.. damn..

i get a bunch of money for going but i'm pretty much gonna be an army ranger but in the navy..

but if i die i guess this is my goodbye if i don't see you guys ever again

last week 3 ASF members went IA and were killed

but i kno 2 guys who just came back from Iraq from my squadron.. one of them is kinda messed up in the head but the other one seems fine.. i guess they killed a bunch of people..

eventually all navy will be required to go IA for at least one tour.. so it's actually better on my evals that i kinda volunteered.. i'll build up rank faster and get paidddd..

don't worry i'll make it back alive..

nice.. it's been awhile since i've been on here.. in fact i almost forgot all about xanga but rite now it's 0242 and i'm on watch in my squadron (0000 - 0600).. bored as hell..

i'm loving the fleet.. my training days are over and i'm now in the real navy.. my squadron is VRC-30.. and i'm officially an avionic electrical technician on the C-2 Greyhounds.. it's great.. i mean besides the fact that i work 10-12 hours a day + duty.. it's fun.. i never realized how many alcoholics were in the navy.. seriously.. going more than 2 days without drinking is sadly an accomplishment.. i've gone a week.. i've been trying to drink only on fridays.. but it's hard when so many parties are going around all over the barracks.. it's all good though.. i say you're not an alcoholic as long as you get all ur responsibilities taken care of first..

my days go like this

0530 wake up and get ready for work
0630 come in and take care of all pre-ops then work all day
   -
1730 get off
1800 hit the gym
2030 come back to barracks and take shower
2100 PARTY
0000 sleep

of course there are days that are different but on average thats how it is..
it'll be alot different when i start college again in the summer.. i'd start sooner but i'm working on my plane captain qualifications.. i'm gonna seriously try to become a pilot

next monday the 25th i start my ASF academy (Auxilary Security Forces).. the chief warrant officer and command master chief asked me to do it since i was one of the only few who was qualified.. i'm kinda pissed but whatever.. i get sent to a school to learn military police shit.. i get sprayed with O.C. which is 10x worse than mase.. or mace.. however you spell it and then i get qualified to shoot different weapons.. then i stand alot of 12 hour watchs and hopefully get a chance to shoot terrorists.. but i doubt any terrorists dare try to hijack Coronado Naval Base.. oh well it's only 4 months anyways..

i have too many things i wish i could share.. but i'll tell them in person one of these days..

but yea i'm alive..

alrite so i'm in Norfolk, Virginia at this moment.. it's an aite place but i'm ready to get out of here and back to San Diego for my next station.. i feel like my thoughts on life have been changing on a daily basis.. although i haven't been to church since i've joined the navy, i feel very satisfied with my life.. i feel like finally people can count on me to do something and do it right.. i made class leader and also p.t. squadron leader in my last command and now i'm up for an advancement in rank.. i'm so ffreakin stokkkked.. i've made lots of friends and i'm loving every minute of everyday.. i'm boutsta get my own apartment or maybe even a condo when i hit San Diego with the military providing it for me off base so if you're ever in the Diego region give me a holler and you can crash wit me..

music has been alot easier to do since i've joined the navy.. almost every base has a shitload of talented musicians and most bases have several recording studios on the base so i've been practicing guitar and drums and keys and all that stuff.. there was a group of guys in the navy that just got their military contract bought out by a record label so that they can tour and start their careers as musicians so i'm looking for new musicians right now to start my next band.
